As the Scottish Government eases lockdown through their phased plan, it is expected that tourism is Scotland will be open for business from Wednesday 15th July, with the travel restrictions having been eased around 3rd July. Whilst there will be a “new normal”, we look forward to welcoming our hirers from this date, and that they will once again be able to enjoy touring our beautiful country.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have had to make some changes to our process, and to our already thorough cleaning processes.

Preceding each hire, our motorhomes will be cleaned in line with the Association of Scotland’s Self-Caterers document, “Cleaning Protocols for Self-Catering Properties and Short Term Lets in the Context of Covid-19”.

This will include the use of Ultra Low Volume (ULV) Misting, before & after manual cleaning. This is a disinfecting process using electrolysed water products tested to a number of EN testing protocols including EN1276 & EN14476. This process involves filling the motorhome with a disinfecting mist, which settles on, and disinfects, all surfaces exposed to it.

It will be necessary to ask our hirers to ensure a few extra tasks are carried our for the return of the motorhome, information of which will be advised prior to the start of the hire.
Non-essential items usually supplied with the motorhome, for use by hirers, e.g. books, games, DVDs, have been removed to reduce the risk of potential cross contamination.
Our instruction folder will be made available as a downloadable file, as the folder will not be left in the motorhome.

On collection of the motorhome, we will only be able to complete the handover and instruction with one member of the hiring party. This person should bring, and wear a face covering during the process. We have made provision for appropriate distancing, and Scottishmotorhomes4hire personnel will wear appropriate PPE.
(We appreciate that other members of your party, in particular children, may be very excited to enter the motorhome, but due to the current pandemic, we will unfortunately have to ask them to wait.)

Scottishmotorhomes4hire wish all of our hirers a safe & happy holiday.
